Ria Bakkers, the breeder of
the Kimaris Silvers & Smokes and Magnika Chocolates & Lilacs &
Shaded bi-colours & Torties was born in Antwerp, Belgium. She started
her music studies at the age of 4 years and received her first Conservatorium
Diploma at the age of 13 years. She gave lot of concerts in her country of
birth and in surrounding countries. In 1991, she migrated to Australia to
start a new life because of the better tropical climate in Brisbane. After a carrier of 30 years of music and piano teaching, she
decided to retrain for Bookkeeper, Database Processor, Administrative Clerk,
Computer Information Technology & Web page Design.

Pewter female Persian
In Dec 1996, she received her
first two domestic kittens from a friend in Morayfield. Minkie and Xylia
were such placid natured cats that Ria decided to take home another two kittens
on rescue from her local Vet surgery. At the end of 1997, she bought a Persian
and decided to start breeding Persians. She visited a FCCQ Cat Show and there
she saw the lovely Persians.

She specialized in breeding
Silvers, Smokes, Tabbies and Shaded Bi-Colours. The Chocolate and lilac
Pewters are on her program too as are the smoke Bi-Colours. She won many
awards and best in show with her Persians.
